The Town Farm Renovation Committee met this evening at the Tiverton Senior Center. The work is progressing well with the planning phase as the deadline to apply for the DEM grants is a short 2 months away. This was the second meeting in as many weeks. Public input is an important aspect of the grant and there are plans to release two surveys within the few weeks.
The committee, put together by the Recreation Commission a couple weeks back, has members of various expertise. In addition to the Commission Chair, Stu Gilfillen, whom has grant writing experience, the makeup includes: a certified playground inspector, an attorney, a certified public account, a local safety coordinator, a PTO President, a local coach that is also a school principal, a carpenter, the Town Administrator, and the DPW Director.
